Yarrow Tea has a very bitter flavour to it. There's also a slightly earthy flavour and very little sweetness to the overall experience. So it's not looking good for yarrow tea but with a little bit of lemon or honey, you can certainly make this flower herbal infusion much more palatable.
Yarrow tea is used for fever, common cold, hay fever, absence of menstruation, dysentery, diarrhoea, loss of appetite, gastrointestinal (GI) tract discomfort, and to induce sweating.
Drink while still hot, particularly when treating a cold and breaking a fever. You can drink up to 3 cups of yarrow tea a day, but for no more than 2 weeks. Prolonged use is not recommended.
Origin: North America
Serving suggestions: Steep minimum 10 minutes at 100°C. Strain leaves. Add honey to sweeten if desired or a slice of lemon.
