Indian history and folk lore teach us that women who drink Shatavari (also known as Asparagus Root) have the strength and beauty to acquire 1000 husbands. Traditionally, Shatavari was used to rejuvenate the female body and encourage lactation. Shatavari roots are painstaking to collect as to avoid damage when pulling them out of the ground. If the harvesters are successful, the roots are carefully washed, peeled, and left to dry under heat of the sun. The freshly harvested Shatavari roots are then cut into delicious chips with powerful antioxidant properties. The tea may even ease diarrhoea and relieve stubborn coughs.
