Tieguanyin is known as “The Iron Goddess of Teas,” and producing it is no easy feat. In fact, many tea roasters and producers can’t be bothered. Tieguanyin is an intense aromatic brew that lingers long after you see the bottom of the cup - and begins long before you take your first sip. First, the leaves are left to wither and ferment before roasting to eliminate any moisture. Tieguanyin can be either black or green, depending on processing. This particular Tieguanyin is reminiscent of flowers, with an unmistakably unique taste that offers a long list of health perks too. Tieguanyin’s chemical composition is incredibly beneficial to humans, linked to anti-aging properties.
