Turmeric is said to originate in India, consumed for centuries to unlock the endless culinary and medicinal benefits. From easing arthritis to lowering cholesterol and boosting the immune system, Turmeric has been used in civilisations worldwide for thousands of years. Today, Turmeric is harvested once the leaves and stem dry out and turn brown. Once the roots are collected, they’re dried and cut into delicious chips that only needs boiling water to release the curcumin’s powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidizing effects. Many describe Turmeric tea as having an “earthy” taste. Add a little ginger and cardamom to really make the bold flavour profiles pop.
