Longjing has been grown in Hangzhou, China, for more than a thousand years. Its the Cadillac of Chinese tea: delicate, highly prized, difficult to harvest and beautiful to drink. Each leaf needs to be grown under just the right conditions, picked in the foggy Zejiang foothills during springs first flush, still moist with morning dew. Too much sun and the young buds lose their fragrance. (Obsessive Longjing fans can even taste the day, climate and location of a particular crop.) Longjings flavour is mellow and distinctly vegetal: a big mouthful of lush spinach, wet grass and spring chestnuts. Like a cool breeze on your tongue.

Origin: China.

Ingredients: Organic Green Tea.

Serving suggestion: Add 1-2 teaspoons and brew in 80-85ºC water for 2-3 minutes. Steeping longer intensifies the flavour.
