Rooibos (otherwise known as ‘red tea’ or ‘red bush tea’) is part of the Fabaceae family of plants, that originate in South Africa. It is valued for its wonderful full-bodied, naturally sweet flavour, and because it is low in tannin and rich in antioxidants.

Ingredients: Cardamom Pods, Cassia Bark, Cloves, Ginger Kibble, Rooibos (Aspalatus linearis)

Serving suggestions: Use 1 teaspoon of this Rooibos chai blend for each cup of boiling water. Steep for 5 minutes. Enjoy as is, or add milk and sweetener, if desired. Chill rooibos chai tea and serve with plenty of ice and slices of lemon or orange. A strong infusion can be used to add wonderful rich and spicy notes to homemade ice cream, desserts and baked goods.
